The Wolves faced an important bounce back game against Weyburn tonight.  In their previous meeting, the Wolves dumped the Wings 6-0, but faced a Red Wings team without the Cowie's or Drew George.  Mind you Jesse Ross was out of the line-up tonight for Weyburn so another key offensive component missing.

How'd the Wolves do?  Here's a quick recap.
After a split with the Estevan Bruins the Ice Wolves move along to face the Weyburn Red Wings tonight at the Mel.

This game is a little shorter on intriguing storylines than the Bruins game on Friday, but could be an interesting one nonetheless.
The Ice Wolves ended up splitting their two game set with the Estevan Bruins after tonight's game, but that didn't really have to be the case.

First let's role through a quick recap of the game if you missed it.

Midway through the third period of Wednesday's game, the Ice Wolves and Bruins sat tied at two.  Then the Wolves exploded for six goals in the final seven minutes, and all I could think is, "Hey, I've seen this movie before."

Flashback to November 14th in Estevan, the Ice Wolves lead 2-1 heading to the third, the B's tie the game in the first minutes and then blast out 3 goals in the third and end up winning 5-3.  Now, admittedly it's not a perfect mirror image, but the similarities are definitely there.
Over the past couple week's I've been privileged enough to be on some other guys shows to talk Ice Wolves hockey.

Of course the first question I'm asked is, "something something Marc-Andre Carre, Doug Lindensmith and Travis Egum, something something?"  At this point I am running out of different ways to say how good these guys are playing.  The chemistry the Ice Wolves scoring line has found is amazing.  They always know where each other are, and they have the talent and skill-sets to make it work.

What does get eclipsed sometimes is just how well the rest of the team has been playing.
Hey folks,

Welcome to the new website, this is the beginning of a long and healthy relationship of me writing and you reading... at least that's the idea.

This website will hopefully become your go-to place to get Ice Wolves news, analysis and audio.  I intend to upload all of the interviews from Ice Wolves games to the audio on demand section so if you miss anything on the broadcast you can get it here within hours of it going on the air.

It's going to be a bit of a journey as I work out the kinks of this whole website thing, so I ask you to be patient.  Hopefully there won't be too many speed bumps and we can just get right to the hockey-talk and any other random musings I might have.

Without further adieu, let's cut the digital giant ribbon with digital giant novelty scissors.

Welcome to!
