The 2010-11 SJHL MVP, Marc-Andre Carre is moving on with his hockey career.

Carre signed his first professional contract Monday night with the Rio Grande Killer Bees of the Central Hockey League.

He tied with Travis Eggum for the SJHL lead in points with 106 in the 2010-11 season and led the league in playoff scoring with 30 points while helping the Ice Wolves to their second consecutive Credit Union Cup Championship.

I'm hoping to speak with Marc in the next day or two so I'll get more posted then.

If you missed it on my twitter account, I followed up on Taylor's post and Travis Eggum has indeed signed on with the Killer Bee's as well.

Eggum led the SJHL with 58 goals becoming the first player in 20 years to record a one goal per game average while scoring over 50 goals.

Apparently Travis and Marc-Andre signed their contracts at the same time, which just shows the confidence Rio Grande has in the chemistry these two fantastic players have with each other.

I will add more to this post tomorrow when I'm not nearly keeling over after a couple hours of playing basketball.

Congratulations Marc and Travis!

Check it out, but I heard that Carre signed with Killer Bees because linemate Travis Eggum had already signed a pro contract with the Rio Grande Killer Bees.

There will definitely be checking of the out done on that tip.

I'll hopefully have confirmation on that in the next day or so.
