Midway through the third period of Wednesday's game, the Ice Wolves and Bruins sat tied at two.  Then the Wolves exploded for six goals in the final seven minutes, and all I could think is, "Hey, I've seen this movie before."

Flashback to November 14th in Estevan, the Ice Wolves lead 2-1 heading to the third, the B's tie the game in the first minutes and then blast out 3 goals in the third and end up winning 5-3.  Now, admittedly it's not a perfect mirror image, but the similarities are definitely there.
What's important to notice out of the first two meetings is how even Wolves and Bruins have played for about 100 out of 120 minutes in the season series.  Tonight should be no different.  The Bruins seem right at home on the smaller ice surface at the Mel, and they're a team that's built to take away the space of skilled teams and create scoring chances in a smaller rink

There will be some different faces in the lineup, however, I've heard that Shea Cooper (3-3-1-1, 4.19 GAA, 0.891 Sv%) will likely get the start tonight for Estevan (that's not confirmed) and Taylor Piller will probably draw back into the lineup for La Ronge after sitting the last couple of games.

Adam Bartko (15-7-0-2, 3.18 GAA, 0.907 SV%) will get the start for the Ice Wolves tonight.  He wasn't tested too often on Wednesday as the Wolves defense did a pretty good job of limiting chance right in front of Bartko.  He was as solid as he needed to be on Wednesday allowing 2 goals on 31 shots.  As always, the Ice Wolves success will rest with the 6'4 netminder.

Here are some quick stat-hits.

With two goals on Wednesday, Travis Eggum is back up to a goal per game pace with 31 in 31.

Doug Lindensmith is on a 16 game point streak (12 G- 24 A - 36 pts), it's the second longest  streak in the league this year, three games behind Humboldt Bronco Justin Buzzeo's 19 game point streak.

While Ryan Anderson leads the Bruins in goals (22), he only has two assists against the Ice Wolves.  Troy Hunter and Dylan Smith both have two goals against La Ronge.  Before joining the Bruins, Cole Gibson had 3 points (2 G, 1 A) with Melfort in 2 games against the Wolves.

Game time tonight is 7:30 at the Mel.  Hopefully the officials don't have any car trouble tonight.
