Hey folks,

Just so you know, I'll put up a recap of the weekend tomorrow once the two games are done.  I'll see how that works and likely do that again for the Flon Flon back to back barring anything crazy happening, which is likely.

For tonight though, the Millionaires played a solid game Friday led by Zach Rakochy's 52 saves, and Tyson Newell playing a fantastic game.  They just couldn't keep up with the Ice Wolves who were running a revolving door of line combinations en route to a 5-2 win.  The Wolves have been playing some of their best hockey of the season, in the last few games which is bad news for teams in the SJHL.

Good news for Ice Wolves fans there is still room to improved as this team doesn't appear to have peaked yet and could be saving it for the playoffs.

Three Stars

1. Phil Cliche - LR - 2 G - Just when Melville had brought the game within one, Cliche came up with two big goals to stretch out the lead.  Something that gets missed with the strength of the Wolves big line is how great a season this 18 year old is having.

2. Zach Rakochy - MEL - 52 Svs - It's not often you allow 5 goals and still have a +.900 save percentage.  Rakochy was superb in the loss, keeping the Wolves at bay through most of the game.  The future is bright in net for Melville.

3. Travis Eggum - LR - 1 G, 1 A - The big guy keeps on rolling.  His 46th goal of the season and he's closing in on the 90 point plateau (86).  He continues to be a force on the ice every time he leaves the bench.

No webcast tonight, I just get to sit and enjoy the game.  I'll keep you updated through twitter though!
