Some tough news for Marc-Andre Carre today as he was waived by the Rio Grande Killer Bees.  It would appear he was a victim of the numbers game in a farm system.  The San Antonio Rampage sent three players to the Bees and the team had to make room and did this by waiving a couple of players including Carre.

M-A-C had one assist in five games with the Killer Bees while keeping an even plus minus rating in those games.

So what's next for the 2010-11 SJHL MVP?  He'll be on waivers for 24 hours, which I'm guessing means until sometime in the afternoon tomorrow.  At that point he'll be free to return to Junior, which will mean returning to the Ice Wolves.

So for now, Carre waits to see if he'll get picked up by another CHL team and Ice Wolves fans will be feeling that mixed bag of emotion.  The excitement of one of the top players in the league possibly returning to the team, yet disappointment that he may not remain at a higher level of hockey.

The Wolves face off against the Nipawin Hawks tomorrow night.  Catch the action on MBC Radio starting at 7:15 with the Pre-Game Show.
